 Camping Upper Wynoochee River

The weather this year in the Pacific Northwest has been really wet and chilly, so we decided to go on a day trip to the Olympic National Forest instead of going camping, and we are glad we did since it tried to rain on us!  We also ended up taking the Grand Self-Guided Tour of the three rivers we like to camp on, the Dosewallips, the Lilliwaup, and the Hamma Hamma.

But first, I have some photographs from the back yard and the Pierce College Puyallup Parking Lot to share with you!

Hello 'lil Hattietram!

This is Misc. section of the web page!

Both of these photographs of ferns were taken in my back yard, next to Hattie, Awwwwws!

More backyard ferns!

I was sitting in my car reviewing for my final in Auditing class, and I saw these interesting - looking plants growing in the median in the parking lot, so I decided to take a picture before class!  Yay!

The first stop on the Grand Tour of the Olympic National Forest was a former camp site with a gate with the words "Keep Out" written on it!

This camp site featured mossy trees and the Dosewallips on three sides of the camp site.

We drove up the road and found another camp site along the Dosewallips where we have camped before, and where I took some excellent new pictures!

I am amazed at how well these pictures came out!

The mist effect is created by a long exposure time and waves lapping up on the shore.

I like these flowers!

On our way to the end of the road, we stopped and took some pictures of these mossy trees.

Then we made our way up to the Lilliwaup River and didn't find much, so we headed over to the Hamma Hamma River.

This is a camping spot we visitied last year.  The Hamma Hamma River has a large rock in the middle of the river.

We have camped in this spot before but the river was up quite a bit this time.

I like this tree grove!

Thank you very much for visiting our web page!  Have fun!
